The German ATTUNE partners recommend the new podcast from the German Society for Sustainability at Universities (DG Hoch N).
The ATTUNE project aims to anchor sustainability at universities. To achieve this, it is essential to exchange experiences and support each other within the university landscape.
In the new DG Hoch N podcast, experts share good practice examples, experiences, projects, research results and innovative ideas relating to the transformation processes of the German higher education landscape towards more sustainability. The topics covered include ESD, climate neutrality, biodiversity, campus design and much more.

The first two ATTUNE workshops took place at the @unihildesheim in January and February 2024.
1st workshop:
Students, teaching staff and other university employees formed three action teams in the areas of mobility, waste management and sustainable nutrition. Each team chose a topic on which they would like to develop their own sustainability project over the next few months:
🚲 Team Mobility is working on the bicycle workshop on campus.
🗑 Team Waste is interested in packaging waste from portion packs in the canteen.
🍎 Sustainable nutrition team focusses on the food supply at the university, among other things.
After the workshop, the teams carried out surveys on campus to gain an insight into the current situation of their topic at the university.
2nd workshop:
The three Research-Action teams developed ideas and a plan for implementing their project on campus to combat climate change.

+++ Save the Date: Digital network meeting for procurers at universities +++
Are you responsible for procurement at a university and wondering how eco-social procurement can succeed throughout the university?
Then come to the digital network meeting on Tuesday, 12 March 2024 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. ➡ https://fairtrade-deutschland.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZErcO-rqzgrGdPsIy5PtJvC4TY1S6iJFx15#/registration The event will be held in German.
Fairtrade Germany and FEMNET invite procurers at German universities to exchange experiences on the sustainable procurement of food and textiles at universities.
In addition to the opportunity to exchange ideas, there will also be exciting inputs, for example on the strategic approach in the procurement process and legal framework conditions.
ATTUNE partner agado will also contribute to the programme of the meeting with an input and will present the results of a study that it conducted on behalf of Fairtrade Germany. The study provides interesting findings and shows ways in which universities can be better supported on the path to eco-social procurement.

The first workshop of the second phase of the ATTU

The first workshop of the second phase of the ATTUNE project was launched in @unisiena ! 🥳
65 students from different courses actively participated in the activities, coordinated by the @ineuropa_ue and Dipartimento di Scienze Politiche e Internazionali teams.
The students were enthusiastic and five research-action teams were created: starting with setting a research question and defining a data collection strategy to map the behaviors, resources and procedures of the University and its community, the teams will be able to move on and propose actions to help reduce the carbon footprint of the University as a whole 🌿♻️
💪The teams are already rolling up their sleeves ahead of the next workshop scheduled for March 11th
